Become Your Own Therapist Using Your Chart with Julia Bondi

Our astrological chart is a window into our destiny, our soul and our psyche.  Knowledge of the fundamentals in your chart provides a foundation on which a spiritual and psychological practice can be based.

All astrological data, including planets, elements, aspects and houses, illuminate where we are integrated and can draw on our strengths and where we are not integrated and sabotage ourselves.  These psychological weaknesses lead to defensive behaviors that continually frustrate us and keep us stuck in some areas of our lives. Each chart also contains its own medicine which is the antidote to the weaknesses and wounds it reveals. With greater knowledge of our charts from this perspective we can become our own healers and be more honest and open with any therapist or healer we consult.

I will discuss how I use Astrology to frame an initial therapy session and determine the approach that will be most effective for that person. We will analyze several charts in detail to understand the impact of our early life, our experiences and our own personality traits on our behavior. While karma and past life experiences are clearly visible in each chart and do inform the underlying meaning of both our gifts and our wounds, it is helpful to learn strategies that enable us to act differently and consciously in our daily lives.

Julia Bondi began her study of Metaphysics and Astrology in 1973. With degrees in clinical psychology, history, and esoteric philosophy as well as a 25 year career as a successful practicing Astrologer and spiritual counselor, Julia brings a visionary and practical view of Astrology to her work and her clients. Julia has taught Astrology and Metaphysics for 20 years, has spoken at NCGR conferences and is a published writer.

Using Astrology to Navigate Your Daily Life with Sarah Rose Marshank and Mary Plumb

Astrological insight applies to both the far and wide, and the near and dear.

In this evening’s presentation, astrologers Sarah Rose Marshank and Mary Plumb will share simple and practical ways to use astrology to guide your personal process and attune yourself to the larger rhythms that carry us through life. We have both worked closely with many clients and friends over the years, and will share methods that we have found to be helpful in supporting the flow of daily life.

Sarah Rose Marshank has been a counseling astrologer for over ten years. She uses astrology to help her clients see themselves more objectively and clearly, and to help them navigate through the chapters of their lives.

Mary Plumb has studied astrology since the 1960s. She is Book and Web Editor for The Mountain Astrologer magazine and has taught all levels of astrology, the subject she loves with passion.

Mundane Astrology: How Astrology Predicts World Events with Mary Plumb

Astrologers have long looked at the horoscopes of countries and their leaders to predict the future of the world.

There are many traditional astrological methods, such as the study of planetary cycles, eclipses and the horoscope for the beginning of the zodiacal year, that have been used throughout the ages. Modern astrologers, informed as well by such concepts as the collective unconscious and mass psychology, have developed a sophisticated body of techniques in the study of nations and world events.

This type of astrology, generally known as mundane astrology, is rich in its ability to help raise awareness and bring insight about the unfolding process of time and encourage our capacity to act as constructively as possible.

Mary Plumb will give an introduction to the basics of the astrology of countries and world events. This is the first talk in a fall series on the astrology of current world events.

Mary Plumb has been a student of astrology since the 1960s. She has had a private counseling practice since 1985, and has worked with The Mountain Astrologer magazine since 1993 as writer, Book Editor and web manager. Mary teaches all levels of astrology and is currently serving as President of Astrology in Ashland.

Feminine in the US Chart – The U.S. Pluto Return presented by Julia Bondi

Pluto will return to its natal position of 27 Capricorn in the US chart in 2022-2023. As we prepare for this challenge, it is time to review the major turning points (crises) in U.S. history through their Astrological signatures. Then we can examine how we might renew the sacred contract of the Declaration of Independence. The underlying issues of the 21st century “War on Terrorism” are as significant and necessary as the Civil War and the World War II were to the emergence of the full potential of the founder’s vision.

Julia Bondi will present the spiritual purpose and destiny of the U.S. as they are delineated in the Sibley chart. As the U.S. approaches its Pluto return in 2022, we are challenged to live up to this potential consciously. Founded as the discovery of Uranus awakened humanity to individuality and freedom, the U.S. was intended to be the world beacon of liberty. This talk will focus on the Uranus/Aquarius dynamics in the U.S. chart as the Age of Aquarius dawns and the United Sates is asked to play its leadership role in that dawning.

A handout of the U.S. chart and its current progressions will be available at the talk and we will leave time for questions and discussion on this critical period in our history. Astrology sheds a bright light on our current world and future.

This talk is the core of Julia’s forthcoming book on the U.S. destiny in the 21st century.

Native American Prophecy & Galactic Astrology presented by Marty Dixon

As we approach the recognized end of the Mayan calendar on December 21, 2012, we are enveloped in the season of the great Galactic Eclipse — a time when our sun is aligning with the central sun of our Galaxy and the Great Central Sun of Galaxies beyond. Marty Dixon will discuss the portend of this epic alignment, including prophecies of the Inca, Maya, Lakota and Hopi.

Marty is a Visionary Astrologer who has been practicing a visual method of astrological counseling for 18 years. She studied Evolutionary Astrology with Jeffrey Wolf Green and is a certified “Fixed Stars” practitioner of Bernadette Brady’s school.

For the past 6 years she has lectured and been a columnist for the “Sedona Journal”. She teaches shamanic journeying so that others may better ‘see’ for themselves. Marty may be contacted for chart services, phone sessions, or in-person in Southern Oregon at mardeluz@juno.net

Pluto Into Capricorn: An irresistible force meets an immoveable object presented by Steve Wolfson

In late January 2008 the planet Pluto enters the sign of Capricorn, its first change of sign since its movement into Sagittarius in early 1995. Pluto deals with our deepest subconscious urges and yearnings – individually, and collectively as the human race.

Pluto changing signs is highly significant. Pluto represents the death-rebirth principle in life (example, winter into spring). Capricorn represents established societal structures and authority. This movement points to profound change ahead for all of us. As example, on July 4th 1776 the Declaration of Independence was signed with the then-undiscovered planet Pluto situated at a late degree of Capricorn.

Steve is a Pluto-based astrologer and will share his thoughts on the meaning and significance of Pluto’s transit into Capricorn.

Steve Wolfson is a graduate of Jeffrey Wolf Green’s School of Evolutionary Astrology. Evolutionary Astrology is an astrological system that views Pluto as the bottom-line principle in human life, representing the unseen Cause, from which the effects and actions of all the other planets emanate. Steve lives in Ashland where he offers personal consultations, both in person and by phone. He can be reached at 201-0825 or by email at steve@stevewolfson.com. His website is www.stevewolfson.com.

America in the Next 25 Years

To understand our upcoming personal transits, we often inspect similar transits that happened in our past.

In the same way, to understand the future of the United States, it is informative to look at the country’s past transits. This talk will use past transits to the chart of the United States as a means of exploring what the future holds for this country. When we do this, the general trends for the near future become clear.

In this talk the transits will be shown visually, so people can easily see how the chart of America is affected by the planets. This talk uses only planets and the United States natal chart, and should be accessible to most.

Doug Kellogg is one of the founding members of Astrology In Ashland. In 1979, he wrote the first encyclopedic astrology program for the emerging personal computer, sold by Astrolabe. He has taught at Southern Oregon College. His web site is astrology3d.com.

Join a panel of Ashland astrologers as we toss Jupiter’s imagery around from different angles – including what we can expect and how we can make optimal use of Jupiter’s travels this year in Sagittarius. Black Moon Lilith: A Key to the Feminine Essence presented by Mary Plumb

Lilith has a mythological history dating back to her earliest mention in Sumeria about 3000 BCE. Some modern astrologers are tracking the movements of one of her namesakes, Black Moon Lilith. The Black Moon Lilith is a point in space that is one of two focal points of the Moon’s ecliptical path around the earth (the earth being the first).

In this talk Mary will be discussing the history of the Lilith archetype and considering her placement in the astrological horoscope. She will include real life stories that demonstrate this potent point in understanding the power inherent in the deep feminine. This is not a technically complicated talk, and is accessible to anyone with an interest in the subject.

Mary Plumb has been a student of astrology since the 1960s. She has had a private counseling practice since 1985 and has been on the staff of The Mountain Astrologer magazine since 1993. Mars Returns presented by Steve Wolfson

Mars’ revolution around the Sun takes two years. Thus, once every two years Mars returns to the point in your birthchart where it was located at the moment of your birth. Why should you care?

Mars (and the Aries archetype) symbolize the deepest instinctual parts of our self. It is the realm in which the intentions of the Soul enter human form, through the medium of the primary brain, seeding into our consciousness new perceptions. Mars returning begins a new two year cycle. The intentions of the Soul have been renewed. This frequently demands deep shifts in our perceptions of self. New feelings and events appear in direct response to this inner need.

How do the changes appear so suddenly, and how do you emotionally deal with rapid change. All of this and more is addressed.

Steve practices Evolutionary Astrology in Ashland. He is a graduate of Jeffrey Wolf Green’s “Pluto School”. He is available for readings, counseling, classes, and talks. See his website, www.stevewolfson.com, for further details.

The Joy of Saturn with a panel of 7 local astrologers.

The Winter Solstice marks the entrance of the Sun into Capricorn, ruled by Saturn. Aquarius follows, also traditionally ruled by Saturn. In many ways Saturn has a negative reputation signifying limitations, depression, and patriarchal domination, to name a few. However, this is not the fullness of what Saturn represents or has to offer. Join us as we share the fullness of Saturn’s blessings. We have satirical anecdotes, experiential stories, and lots of fun.

Outer Planet Transits Through 2025 presented by Doug Kellogg.

Doug looks back at what history has brought us when the outer planet transits were similar to what they are now, and offers his insights into what we may expect over the next twenty years.

Doug has been an astrologer for over 25 years and a computer programmer for over 35 years. He combines these two interests to develop computer software for astrologers. He is co-developer and Webmaster of the renowned site www.astrology3d.com and is one of the three developers of the artistically creative and first-of-its-kind time span program, Digital Time Capsule.

The Muse Neptune presented by Sandra Pastorius.

Sandra looks to the Muse of Planet Neptune to inspire philosophical queries. She invites the playful, the practical and the profound to infuse our quest for meaning with new vigor. Though the symbolic “lense of the heavens” that astrology offers, we may both widen our mental view-finders, and deepen the nature of the vital questions we ask of ourselves and our world.

Sandra Pastorius has been a consulting astrologer practicing in Oregon and California since 1979. She self-published The Lunar Muse: A Monthly Moon Calendar for ten years as muse, Laughing Giraffe. Sandra has produced several Astrology forums for outer Planet ingresses, including, Awakening the Divine Mind — An Astrological Forum to Commemorate Neptune in Aquarius, 1998—2012 in Santa Cruz, CA. She writes annually for WeʹMoon, an Astrological Datebook and Calendar, and currently offers in-depth readings, classes and workshops on Integrating Saturn Returns and Healing with the Zodiac.

The End of the Age of Pisces presented by Julia Bondi.

The Age of Pisces is ending and the new Age of Aquarius is dawning. What will end and what will begin in the coming age? All around us we see extremes in our weather, our politics, our religions, our governments, our economies, our institutions and our beliefs. As our world seems to be exploding in chaos and insanity, ancient prophecies from those of the Bible to the Hopi’s to the Mayans tell us of the “end of times”. Astrology not only confirms that these long predicted times of profound change are our present but explains and previews the coming Age. What is the future of energy, corporate power, the U.S. Empire, religion, science, money, health, and the earth itself? We will explore the meaning and potential of the Age of Aquarius as well as the shape of our new century and our new millennium. Astrology offers us specific guidance about which changes will occur, when they will occur and how to prepare for them. Are we truly experiencing “peak oil” now, and what does that mean for our societies? Will the US dominate this new century or has her power peaked? Is the power of Christianity waning? Are we headed for World War III? Will there be a new “Enlightenment” or “Renaissance”? Where are the leaders of this new age? Be informed and find hope in these challenging times.
