It is said that Adam’s first consort was Lilith.  Lilith insisted on total equality, refusing to be Adam’s submissive wife, so she flew into the night never to return.  In the matriarchal world, Lilith was once an image of pure and natural feminine essence.  She was honored and praised for initiating and fully expressing her personal freedom and sexual passion

Throughout the centuries mythological literature has given Lilith a ‘bad rap’, “portraying her as a femme fatale – rebellious, alluring, irresistible and deadly.”

In astrology, there are three astronomical bodies named Lilith.  Kristin will use chart examples to describe the significance of these 3 archetypes, offering insights into ways of re-claiming the natural expression of the Lilith in you.

Medicine wheels, oriented to the eastern point of ascension on the horizon, are mirrors of solar path upon the earth that are used in healing ceremony and meditation.

Astrologers map the light of the heavens in relation to a human’s date, place and time of birth. This use of celestial correspondence displays a map of the human soul that can be interpreted backwards and forwards in time using the origination point of birth. All circles that follow the path of the sun are divination tools that have been used for as long as recorded history.

We know deep change is afoot in our world as we experience all spheres of life intensifying. We are in a unique period of history, shown by the planetary cycles and zodiac positions in the next few years.

Amidst these longer planetary cycles, Saturn, the Father of Time, is now moving into Libra in the tropical zodiac. Libra is that part of the zodiac that symbolizes equilibrium and balance. It describes where we first meet others, and how we see others. Saturn’s presence in Libra suggests that we are in a specific two-year cycle whereby noticing what others reflect to us, and working with others, becomes a point of stability and brings benefit.

In this talk, we will begin to look at how the birth chart allows us to assess our individual relationship needs, motivations and expectations. The Ascendant/Descendant axis, the synodic cycle of Venus, and the Vertex point are some ideas in the birth chart that will be demonstrated.

We’ll also look at a broader view to consider how current movements of the stars and planets are guiding our experiences in intimate relationships. We’ll be exploring at how our individual patterns can align with the greater collective story unfolding in these magnificent times!

Some people have always been directed towards spirituality. Others have a singular experience and drop everything from their former lives to follow a spiritual path. Some decide to follow their own unique path without a teacher; some join groups. A few quit their search all together, sometimes after years of intense questioning. Whichever category you may fall in, did you know that you all have something in common with each other?

Astrology can help identify the nature of spiritual experiences, who is likely to have them, and when they may occur, shift or end, and why. This lecture will be an exploration of these astrological commonalities.

There are wondrous discoveries, but also pitfalls, on the journey to finding oneself. Included in the talk will be a discussion of what a healthy spiritual search looks like, and what is indicative of a dysfunctional spiritual group or teacher.

Audra Stenger  started in Astrology over 13 years ago while working as a paramedic. She noticed that there were more emergency room visits on full moons, and also that on occasion, several patients with the same birthday would be admitted to the hospital on the same day. Occurrences like these piqued her curiosity.

While continuing to practice astrology, she attained a Bachelor’s Degree as a Physician Assistant in New York City. She has provided astrology readings to people from all walks of life and many countries, helping others discern the path towards their greatest fulfillment and happiness. Steve will present an overview of relationship astrology, as seen through the lens of the Evolutionary Astrology that Jeffrey Wolf Green taught.  From the perspective of the Soul, the real purpose of relationships (all types, including intimate) is to advance the Soul’s evolutionary intentions.

The talk will cover: relationship types, how to determining a person’s essential relationship needs from their birth chart, the natures and functions of Mars and Venus, and an overview of synastry and composite charts.  Along the way we will delve into core Evolutionary Astrology principles.

Of the many natural astrological cycles, such as the day and the year, the little known 500 year cycle is the most interesting and may be the most fundamental astrological cycle of history. This talk will first show why this cycle exists and when each cycle starts and then explore how this cycle has played out in the last 2500 years, with special emphasis given to the last 500 years; we will explore the important world transits that highlighted that period so we can see how we got to the present.

Most people think of the future as simply an extension of the present, and don’t really expect things to change except to get “more”, but each beginning of a new cycle represents a “change of state” from what has gone before. You really can’t see the future if you can’t see the past, and so with this background, we will explore the next 500 years. “The 500-Year Party” starts off where Richard Tarnas’ “Cosmos and Psyche” ends.

Doug Kellogg has been an astrologer for 35+ years and a computer programmer for 40+ years. He combines these two interests to develop computer software for astrologers. His current project is a full-featured astrology program for the iPhone. His specialty is the astrology of history, noting the correspondences between historical events and transits of planets. The economic meltdown of 2008-2009, clearly visible in both the US birth chart and the US Stock Exchange chart, was predicted by a few astrologers (me included), a few economists and a few market managers. Though what could easily have become a second Great Depression and a subsequent decade of economic suffering has been avoided, the foundation of the US economy is neither strong nor healthy. The underlying causes of the current financial debacle are similar to those that produced the 1929 crash; however, we have yet to institute the 21st century regulations that are needed to prevent further risk, bailouts and failure. The legacy of FDR and the 1930’s was not only significant, effective regulations of the banking and financial industry but also a re-visioning of a fairer, more equitable America that supported the “least among us” through the institution of Social Security, the establishment of unemployment insurance and the minimum wage, the WPA, the TVA, the Wagner Act, housing and mortgage reforms and farming subsidies.

Is America broken? Can we afford to restructure our government, tackle our massive debt, address climate change, rebuild our social safety net, finally provide universal health care and negotiate fair and just trade policies, labor practices, and corporate regulations? Can we begin to dismantle our expensive, dangerous and immoral foreign policies? America’s vast wealth is at risk along with her survival, her morality and her potential to continue to establish “a more perfect union” as Pluto moves through its opposition to our Cancer planets over the next 14 years. A presentation of the Jupiter/Saturn business cycle, where we are in the current cycle, the coming Pluto return in the US house of finances, the Neptune conjunction to the US moon and our approaching Saturn return will illuminate the current and future financial, political and social challenges we face. This critical period of choice will determine the future of America’s financial stability, success and prosperity.

At once both ancient and modern, LILITH appears in our oldest literature. Goddess or demon, this alluring female figure has continued to fascinate our cultural imagination for over four millennia. If we follow her trail back in time to seek the source of the fear and negativity she typically evokes, we often discover, not only a major shift in the collective human image of the feminine, but also something essential that needs to be redeemed in our personal lives.

In the morning session, we draw from mythology and religious tradition as well as literature and art to see how Lilith has evolved through the centuries. The four astronomical Liliths will be introduced: Asteroid, Dark “Shadow Moon,” Black Moon and Star.

In the afternoon, we apply the Lilith points to charts and lives of famous people and our own. Our discussion will range into states of consciousness, psychological shadows, eros, subtle energy fields and the galactic center as we seek her subtle signature in the spiritual and the mundane.
