This class will introduce you to the fundamentals of Vedic Astrology. We will cover topics such as the Sidereal vs. the Tropical Zodiacs, the dashas (planetary time sequences that form the basis of predictive work), the nakshatras (lunar constellations rich in mythological symbolism), and the socio-spiritual context in which Vedic Astrology developed. Exposing yourself to the fundamentals of this system will give you an appreciation for the cross-cultural relevance of astrology, and will also hopefully enrich your own practice.
Marga Laube has apprenticed with vedic astrologer James Kelleher since 2001, and holds her Level 2 certification from the American College of Vedic Astrology. Marga has a private practice in Ashland, OR, and continues to employ some western techniques in her vedic astrology consultations. Marga’s formal education is from Brandeis University, and the Berklee College of Music; she is currently finishing a Professional Writing degree at Southern Oregon University.
